PETALING JAYA: The King has been undergoing health checks and follow-up treatments at the National Heart Institute (IJN) Royal Ward since Saturday (Jan 22), says Istana Negara.

It said that this was following the intervention treatment for his knee joints and ankle, which the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah underwent in September 2020.

“On Sept 24, 2020, the King had undergone an intervention treatment after an MRI showed sporting injuries to the knee joints and ankle," he said.
