A veteran has called on the Duke of York to step down from the Grenadier Guards over fears he will tarnish its ‘proud history’.But his ‘toxic’ friendship with convicted child sex trafficker.
This afternoon a legal document the Duke of York’s lawyer believes will stop the lawsuit is expected to be unsealed.The Duke continues to face allegations that he slept with Virginia Roberts Guiffre three times when she was a teenager Three-time Afghanistan veteran and former lance sergeant Julian Perreira said: ‘Being allowed to retain his role as colonel of the Grenadier Guards and other military titles, Prince Andrew will put a stain on the regiment’s proud history and will devalue the hard work of past and future generations of Grenadiers. He must step down immediately.’
Despite him stepping back from other royal duties, in August the Queen ‘let it be down’ she wanted Andrew to continue in the Grenadier Guards.if he loses his civil case and is forced to pay damages to Ms Guiffre, which is expected to run in to the millions.
