THE Covid-19 cases in the country reached 2,838,640 on Sunday after the Department of Health logged 433 additional infections.Of the total number of cases, 0.3 percent are active, 97.9 percent have recovered, and 1.80 percent have died.The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were National Capital Region with 192 or 49 percent, Region 4A , and Region 3 .
Of the 13 deaths, 5 occurred in December 2021 , 3 in October 2021 , 2 in September 2021 , 1 in July 2021 , and 2 in March 2021 .In addition, 169 cases were found to have tested negative and have been removed from the total case count. These 169 are recoveries. Moreover, 9 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.Also, six laboratories were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 8 non-reporting laboratories contribute, on average, 0.7 percent of samples tested and 0.9 percent of positive individuals.
