Queensland has recorded its highest daily COVID-19 figures since the start of the pandemic as the government warned there would be “thousands” of cases by next month., the reopening of borders with NSW and Victoria last week in time for Christmas has resulted in an inevitable surge in cases.

From what I’ve seen in our rural area and also recently Sunshine Coast, Qlders are very blasé about COVID. Nothing going to stop these numbers. Will premier have the nerve to ride them out and not lockdown and close borders?
