SRI AMAN, Dec 15 — Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has urged all Members of Parliament to support the bill to amend the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 as the amendments could strengthen the government’s arsenal in the fight against Covid-19.
The guidelines would protect the people from being slapped with unjust compounds for violating the SOP, he said. Khairy said the existing law was not effective in curbing the spread of Covid-19 because even factories which contributed to clusters could be fined a maximum of RM1,000 only although their revenue might run into billions.
Khairy said this at a press conference after a ceremony for handing over the proposed project for building Hospital Baharu Sri Aman Phase 2 which was also attended by Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof here today.
Moh can get along fine without this draconian act...its u who needs to get along with the rakyat's wish
Singapore punished Those who Chew chewing gum. Punitive measures is Important to Curb the COVID-19. Let's give it a Go. Singapore proved that Punitive Works. Btw for PH the LiesFake Manifesto , Oppose Blamed Uturn Critic is their Superpower.
Kerajaan kamu sendiri pun tak boleh nak patuhi SOP, skr nak Rakyat biasa patuhi SOP?! Don't bullshit la. What a joke!
With this amount u mean? Bullshit Khairykj In Malaysia, I don't believe the enforcement authority, they are all Double Standard! Jika seseorang tu pakai balik mask selepas minum air, tapi officer cakap dia tak nampak pun orang tu minum air, terus bagi saman, mcm mana?
Don't cripple yourself by not applying the law equally to all.
YOUR enforcement is the problem. NOT the price.
Kj you want to cripple Rakyat?
