The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, says there has been a significant increase in the COVID-19 case positivity rate in the state.
He said, “As of 15th November 2021, case positivity was 0.1 per cent. Over the past 24 days, there has been a significant increase in case positivity from 0.1 per cent to 14.1 per cent as of 10th of December, 2021.” He said 893,055 COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far in the state with 77 per cent of the test done at the private testing centres and 23 per cent of tests done at the public centres.
