Federal Health and Aged Care Minister Greg Hunt announces he will retire at the next election and not recontest his seat in Victoria.

Mr Hunt has played a key role in the government as it navigated the pandemic.

From sourcing extra PPE to bolster our national stockpiles in the early months of outbreaks, to later being part of the team responsible for the coordination and rollout of COVID vaccines, Mr Hunt has been part of the biggest decisions around the management of the pandemic. People were threatened with hefty fines and potential jail time for breaching the rules, which were described as "immoral" and "un-Australian".

He, along with other cabinet ministers, offered his resignation from cabinet after voting in favour of Peter Dutton during a leadership spill against Mr Turnbull.

Can’t handle being the propaganda minister anymore.

I wonder what scandal from him will pop up after he’s gone? What’s he done that we don’t know about yet?
