The need for the summon arose as a result of petition brought before the House by the Chairman of its Committee on Legislative Compliance and member representing Ede South State Constituency, Olaniran Akanfe Atidade.
In his complaint, the House Committee Chairman on Legislative Compliance, disclosed that he was briefed that few weeks ago, a female student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede had collapsed due to an unknown ailment and was immediately rushed to the General Cottage Hospital, Ede but due to the unavailability of a doctor on ground to attend to her, she later died.
Atidade stated that the injured man was rushed to the same hospital but nobody was on ground to attend to the victim.He noted that as a representative of his constituency, he decided to take the bull by the horn and intimate the House of the development.
