With the nationwide infectivity rate (R0) at 1.0, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says this is an early sign that the Covid-19 cases will increase. Read more at

The Health director-general said the R0 had risen to 1.0 as of Nov 11, which is five weeks after interstate travel was allowed.

Dr Noor Hisham said the main problem is not interstate travel, the issue is when people congregate together in enclosed spaces as well as talking in close proximity.He added with the RO at 1.0, cases were now deemed to be “flat”.
