Malaysia has the highest number of deaths per capita in the Asean and East Asian regions with 889 deaths per 1 million population.

The remaining deaths were in Sabah , Selangor , Pahang , Terengganu , Johor , Kedah , Kelantan , Perak , Malacca and Kuala Lumpur .A total of 47 out of the 54 reported deaths or 87 percent happened in the last seven days. An average of 71 Covid-19 deaths was reported daily in the last 30 days compared to the seven-day average of 54, indicating a downtrend.
