COVID-19 in Singapore: The overall ICU utilisation rate has dipped below 70% as of Friday

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 1,767 new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday as nine more people died from complications due to the coronavirus.had various underlying medical conditions. The Ministry of Health did not specify what these conditions were.The number of new cases reported on Friday is down from the 3,003 infections reported on Thursday.

Another 70 cases are unstable and under close monitoring in the intensive care unit , while 70 are critically ill and intubated. The current overall ICU utilisation rate is 68.6 per cent.Of the 92,147 cases over the last 28 days, 98.7 per cent had mild symptoms or were asymptomatic, while 0.7 per cent required oxygen supplementation in the general ward, 0.3 per cent were in the ICU and 0.2 per cent died.

The award extends to staff at community care organisations that deliver frontline services, such as nursing homes and dialysis centres.
