Moree's COVID outbreak is expected to reach 15 or more cases today, as the Mayor calls for extra help from NSW Health.

COVID-19 case numbers in the NSW border town of Moree have been predicted to worsen after a major outbreak was recorded on Thursday.Moree Plains Shire is expecting at least 15 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing its total active cases to almost 50Moree has been restricted from the Queensland/NSW border bubble

"The testing has been ramped-up over the past few days, we do around 400 tests a day across New England North West region," Ms Heyman said.The majority of infected persons were Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander, according to HNE Population Health Aboriginal Health Worker Kylie Taylor.
