Young women who were vaccinated against the human papillomavirus in their teens with an older GlaxoSmithKline product called Cervarix had up to an 87% lower risk of developing cervical cancer linked to the virus, a long-running English study has found.

Rates of a precancerous condition were reduced by 97% when the shots were given at ages 12 and 13, the study also found. During the nearly 13-year period, roughly 28,000 diagnoses of cervical cancer and 300,000 diagnoses of a precancerous condition called cervical intraepithelial neoplasia were recorded in England, data showed.

Cervarix, developed by GSK, protects against two HPV types that are responsible for roughly 70% to 80% of all cervical cancers.

Yea but a friend of mine took it and they turned into a giraffe. Vaccines are really bad for you don't take. My friend regrets taking it.

Brilliant News. A Life Saving Vaccination.

Antivaxxers - 'dur they promised it would be 100% effective, what are the long term effects, I'm taking vitamin D, I'll rely on natural immunity thanks, how many people were hospitalized already when they got cervical cancer' etc.

This statement is so dangerous. To all women do not believe this crap and never abandon getting smears and breast checks done when required. They are literal life savers.
