Of the 108,000-strong the state's Hospital and Health Services workforce, 3,830 — or 3.54 per cent — have provided no evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination and are not on leave, Queensland Health data obtained by the ABC shows.

More than 8 per cent of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service workers have failed to comply with the COVID-19 vaccination mandate, forcing cuts to surgical, medical and mental health beds.Almost 4,000 health workers in the state's public hospitals have provided no evidence of vaccination against COVID-19

Queensland Health data obtained by the ABC shows that, of the 4,620 employees who work for the service — which runs Rockhampton, Gladstone, Biloela and Emerald hospitals — 385 workers have provided no evidence of having two COVI19 vaccine shots and are not on leave. “There has been a great deal of work done by our team leaders, managers and directors this past week to ensure safe service continuity,” the email said.Ms Frakes said the service would be temporarily required to reduce some surgical, medical and mental health beds and balance “a slight reduction of staff in emergency departments and maternity wards”.

The state is currently served by 16 Hospital and Health Services, independent statutory bodies responsible for delivering public health services in their area.

Well it proves they are not so smart. But then again they have Barnaby,Pauline,Katter,Dutton & the list goes on. So we should not expect to much from Queenslanders.

As borders open we will be able to recruit for this staff shortfall anyway.

It's good, get some new blood in. People that are bit more informed and less persuaded by Facebook research more into actual medicine. This might be a good thing.
