Queensland could change its COVID-19 quarantine requirements for international travellers as soon as federal guidelines change, the health minister says.
Victoria and NSW have scrapped quarantine for international arrivals, but Queensland Health Minister Yvette D'Ath insists their situations are different. Queensland, there's one new case of COVID-19 to report - detected in hotel quarantine. 77.6% of Queenslanders have received their first COVID vaccination, and 63.87% are fully vaccinated. However, the minister stressed the roadmap wasn't set in stone and quarantine requirements could change if Australian Health Protection Principal Committee guidelines change.
How does this math work?
🤔 of course Queensland is 'different', always tries to be 🙄 waiting until 90% of local population vaxxed makes no sense, although of course they've lagged well behind most of rest of Australia in VaxxUp rates - contradictions started with CMO undermining AstraZeneca vaccine
as is Tasmania's, South Australia, Western Australia and the NT...Qld is not the only state having to catch up after having their vaccinations diverted to NSW and VIC.
Never will I trust Qld govt. they divide aust. The QLDLabor party has wreck Austn Labor party for me with its lies on Jobs. Double vac Son has skilled job with company & should've started weeks ago. Couldnt even get quarantine confirmation Qld companies missing out on workers
