JUST IN: Five active COVID-19 clusters being closely monitored, including those at two nursing homes and one preschool

The city-state's youngest such fatality, whose gender was not given, had been partially vaccinated against the coronavirus disease. Both had multiple underlying medical conditions, said the MOH.

Of them 2,929 are local infections: 2,412 are in the community and 517 reside in the migrant worker dormitories. The remaining three are imported. Five active COVID-19 clusters are being closely monitored, the ministry added. They include those at two nursing homes, one welfare home, and one preschool.

Three new cases were each added to the clusters at MY World Preschool @ Hougang Dewcourt and Acacia Home, now totalling 12 and 11 infections respectively.Of the cases at the preschool, seven are students, three are staff members and two are household contacts. Of those at the nursing home, all but two – both staff members – are residents.

There are currently 310 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation and 46 in critical condition in the intensive care unit .
