Queensland’s health minister has unloaded on three Sydney men who snuck across the state border to attend the NRL grand final.

Queensland Police has confirmed it suspects the men drove from Sydney to the Gold Coast on Saturday before attending the 2021 decider at a packed Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

Ms D’Ath said authorities were still probing how the men managed to cross the border but it is believed they may have falsified permits to enter the state. “It’s appalling not just sneaking across the border but potentially … making false statements in documents as well which is a pretty serious matter,” she said.Ms D’Ath pointed to the 62,000 cases and hundreds of deaths seen during NSW’s crisis showed how a single case can quickly lead to an out-of-control outbreak.

“I am extremely disappointed, and I hope it sends a clear message to other people that this is not acceptable.”Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said breaches such as these raised the possibility of the state going back into lockdown.

Who’d think of doing such a despicable thing.

And if there was a Covid outbreak in QLD what a better way to blame NSW for it than those 3 men. Forget about the social distancing and mask wearing requirement that wasn’t followed by Qlders. Blame yourself Premier not 3 people from NSW. But hey, good try.,

'Just appalling': Qld Health Minister lashes out at border jumpersHealth Minister Yvette D'Ath has lashed out at three men who were fined by Queensland Police for jumping the border from NSW to attend the NRL Grand Final, warning the 'community will judge you for that behaviour'. Rubbish, these compliance laws are political only. Funny, when you can’t bring literal voting qld residents back best know that the “community will judge you”🤔 i have judged them and found them guilty of being legends
