PETALING JAYA: A police report will be lodged by the Health Ministry over a Twitter account that allegedly spread fake news on the Covid-19 vaccine.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin had earlier retweeted a post from a user stating that a poster had claimed her father had died from the vaccine, where in reality, the cause of death was due to a heart disease.

In response, Khairy said a report will be lodged with the authorities against the original poster for spreading the fake news. The user, who originally claimed that a man died due to the Covid-19 vaccine, has since deactivated his account.
