No mention of the provence of meat. We have butcher who has his own farm and abbatoir 1.5 miles from the shop. Apart from chicken he rears all his own stock. No factory farmed meat ( which has biggest environmental impact) in his shop.

I tried vegetarianism, it lasted two years and I only recently started eating meat again.
The reality is to prevent the deep harm being done to our ecosystems and climate - but also have equality of food for all - this will need to hit near 100%. They’re setting incremental targets to help behaviour change. You aim to lose 1kg first even if your goal is to lose 10.
Cuts in household incomes and forthcoming price rises will probably do more to reduce meat consumption than changes in eating habits.
Funny that somebody pulled that 30% number out of their arse one day and that it's a 'target' now which must be met OR ELSE.
