ACT records 40 new local COVID-19 cases, 19 infectious in community. 9News

confirmed 21 of today's cases are linked to known cases or clusters and 19 are under investigation.

ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephens-Smith said none of today's COVID-19 cases are connected to the special care nursery cluster at Centenary Hospital.She said both babies linked to that cluster are being cared for in the paediatric ward and another five babies are considered close contacts and are currently in quarantine.

Across the ACT, 96.7 per cent of eligible people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.There were over 4800 COVID-19 tests administered in the ACT yesterday, a record since the current outbreak started in August.
