From Wednesday 11:59pm Victorians and non-Victorians returning from the now orange zones will need to test 72 hours prior to returning to the state and moving about the community.
The move comes as NSW continues to report a drop in COVID-19 cases day on day with 594 infections reported on Wednesday. Victoria has recorded 1,420 new local COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths in the 24 hours to midnight, the Department of Health announced. Four in ten cases were reported in Melbourne's northern suburbs with 562 cases located across suburbs such as Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park and Broadmeadows.One quarter of the cases are located in the southeast and east with 307 cases across suburbs including Pakenham and Dandenong and Noble Park and 89 in the eastern suburbs in places such as Doncaster and Templestowe.
A letter from Roxburgh College to the students and family said while the health department conducts its investigation, anyone who attended the GAT “must stay home and limit their movements until advised otherwise”, The Herald Sun hae reported.A Year 12 student at Aquinas College in Ringwood also sat down for her exams, unaware a family member had undergone a tested for coronavirus.
