Victoria recorded 705 cases and one death in the 24 hours to midnight, the Department of Health announced on Monday.
The results came from more than 51,000 tests and takes the number of active case in the state to 8,538. It is the second consecutive day where cases have dropped following 779 infections on Sunday and the record high of 847 on Saturday.
