Isle of Wight Festival-goers being urged to 'look after each other' by island's health boss

Isle of Wight Festival goers are being urged to "look after each other" by the island's health boss.

Island public health boss Simon Bryant asked people not to attend if they have symptoms and for ticket holders to take regular tests on site. The increase in cases was recorded over the six-week summer holiday period, Mr Bryant insisted organisers have "taken considerable advice" from public health and "robust" safety measures are in place.

Mr Bryant's advice included asking ticket holders to bring lateral flow tests, consider wearing a face covering in crowded or enclosed spaces, and using hand sanitiser.

Covid totally out of control. 9/9: 38,013 infections, 921 deaths last 7 days, (47,892 a year) Horrific numbers. Only way to get life back to normal is to fight the virus not learn to live with it. Common sense. nanocovid
