SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—At least 20 more COVID-19 deaths were registered in this province on Tuesday , latest data from the provincial health office showed.
The new fatalities raised the province’s COVID-19 death toll to 217, said Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, citing the data.On the same day, the province reported 47 new COVID-19 cases and 113 recoveries, pushing to 872 the number of its active infections. Since the pandemic broke out last year, the province has logged a total of 6,687 COVID-19 cases, 5,900 of whom have already recovered from the viral disease.
