"Many of the cases in which people have been discovered to be impersonating doctors, the team members will subsequently say that the person's standards were poor, that they were evasive, that they didn't appear to do some of the work they said they were going to do. So in retrospect, of course, sometimes it's much more obvious," Dr Sullivan says.
