Mayor John Tory made the announcement during a press conference at city hall on Tuesday morning alongside Medical Officer of Health Dr. Eileen de Villa.
“We've got to make sure that those people who haven't yet had an opportunity to get that first dose or second dose have that opportunity on a basis that is as easy and accessible as it possibly can be,” Tory told reporters.
The remaining brick and mortar clinics will continue to operate for the time being but the city is increasingly shifting its efforts to more targeted outreach as it works to reach the more than 17 per cent of eligible residents that are yet to receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. That means places like Taylor-Massey in the city’s east end, where just 63 per cent of eligible residents have received their first dose, and Kingsview Village-The Westway in the city’s west end where the first dose vaccination rate among eligible residents is only 66 per cent.
Awesome! Save me a spot ……….. I will not be there
Love the amount of money they have to go around vaccination people but yet people are tentning in my local park, neighbors can't afford to eat, rent is inconceivably high for what you actually get... This is the liberal agenda to get people vax'd, back to work and tax it all.
