Morgan Stanley is hiking junior pay in its institutional securities division again, raising trading and investment banker salaries to $110,000

Trading and research analysts will earn $110,000 for first-years.Morgan Stanley is set to raise salaries for its junior traders and research analysts, as well as raising base compensation for junior investment bankers for a second time, Insider has learned.

Meanwhile, junior investment bankers and capital markets analysts are also set to receive a raise. First-year analysts in the firm's investment-banking and global-capital-markets divisions will earn $110,000, the person said. salaries bumped to $100,000 and $105,000 at the end of July, Raises for analysts in all four functions — sales and trading, research, investment banking, and global capital markets, which sit within the company's institutional securities division — will take effect in January 2022, the person added. They will be effective worldwide, adjusted for local currency in international regions.

While raises initially were concentrated on junior investment bankers, several financial-services firms have expanded the raises to go beyond just banking.
