PARIS, Aug 31 — They’re known as one of children’s least favourite vegetables, and yet, it seems like broccoli and cauliflower continue to surprise us with unsuspected health benefits.
If we’re not already consuming them at the kitchen table, they could become an essential in our beauty routine. This is the finding of a team of scientists from South Korean company Gragem Co Ltd. Published in the journal, their study showed that the organic compound present in broccoli and cauliflower induced an increase of nearly seven per cent in the number of hairs in participants suffering from androgenetic alopecia.
The goal was to determine if the gel in question was able to relieve the symptoms of hair loss after 18 weeks of use.
