A number of shops in Melbourne's west were added to the health department's list of exposure sites last night, while more venues in Shepparton have been identified as cases in the regional city grow.

There are now more than 600 venues on Victoria's list of COVID-19 exposure sites after a number of shops in Melbourne's west and more venues in Shepparton were added.

Venues in the western suburbs of Braybrook, Ascot Vale, Moonee Ponds, Essendon, Seddon, Newport, and Altona North were added to the health department's list last night. Several venues were listed as tier 1 exposure sites in Shepparton, where more than 20 cases have been confirmed in the past two days.

Farm Fresh Fruit and Vegetables at 289 Maude Street, and Signature Cuts at 302D High Street, Shepparton, have been listed as tier 1 exposure sites for several periods on August 14, 16, and 17.Zambrero Shepparton at 94 Fryers Street is listed as a tier 2 exposure site between 5:00pm and 9:00pm on August 16.The residential complex at 1 Kennedy Avenue in Richmond is listed as a tier 2 exposure site between August 18 and 22, but some individuals linked to the complex will be deemed tier 1 contacts.

In Melbourne's CBD, a residential complex at 565 Flinders Street has been listed as a tier 2 exposure site between August 11 and 21, although some people will be tier 1 contacts and will have to isolate for 14 days.
