Rob Tweedie is one of many travellers now facing a long trek home as changed health advice pushes people out of caravan parks if they don't have an exemption.Some travellers now have to return to COVID-19 hotspots, like Sydney's Western suburbs.
"We received a message to say once your booking runs out you must return immediately home wherever that may be in NSW," he said. "These restrictions limit interaction between people from different households and reduce mobility to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in the community."For Mr Tweedie the long trip home isn't too concerning, but for others it means returning to hotspot destinations.

Burecratic nonsense! The Dept of Health should be interviewing these people, verifying their circumstances & making a decision on a case by case basis. If it's safer for them to remain in situ, then that's what they should be permitted to do.
You'd have to be a full on 24 carat thickhead to have left your home for a trip or holiday in the past 18 months, and more so in the past 3 months without being vaccinated at least. The ones who have overseas deserve all the trials and tribulations they have experienced. Stupid!
Nothing confusing about it. As for the elderly, unvaccinated couple there have more than enough time to get vaccinated…. Not an excuse anymore

My parents are on the mid north coast, Harrington, and their time runs out on the 31st Aug, at which time they will be going back to an area with a higher threat of Delta. Seems they’re safer where they are, not back at home. COVID19nsw NSWHealth
