The state health insurer is now offering an alternative for mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 patients to free up hospital beds and accommodate more moderate to critical cases.

However, the home isolation package will only be implemented in surge areas identified by the COVID-19 pandemic task force, and will be paid as a case rate.
