Protesters took to the streets across France today for the fourth weekend in a row to rally against a new Covid health pass

The new rules championed by President Emmanuel Macron make it obligatory to have either a full course of vaccination against Covid-19, be in possession of a negative test or be recently recovered from the virus to enjoy usually routine activities.

From Monday, the health pass will be needed to eat in a restaurant or enjoy a drink in a cafe both indoors and on a terrace. It will be obligatory on inter-city transport including high-speed trains and domestic flights although will not be needed on metro systems and suburban transport. With about 15 million people in the three states, or 60% of Australia's population, under a strict lockdown, the country also reported five coronavirus-related deaths, one of the highest this year.

"What we have happening right now is some people are not complying," NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said.Neighbouring Victoria saw the highest daily jump in cases this year, with 29 new infections, as the state remains under a snap seven-day lockdown imposed earlier this week, the state's sixth since the start of the pandemic.

Vaccinations have increased in recent days after a surge in virus transmission last month, in the dead of the Southern Hemisphere winter when more people were tempted to socialize indoors, away from the icy winds coming up from the Antarctic. The protesters marched toward Government House, the office of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, demanding his resignation.

Seems simple. If they introduce it they stay green listed. If they don’t they should rejoin the quarantine list. If it hits their pockets they might change their views.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
