The Minister for Health has said he is "fully committed" to introducing legislation on safe access zones around healthcare facilities providing abortion services.
Speaking in 2018, then minister for health Simon Harris said the government was considering exclusion zones to ensure patients can access maternity hospitals without being harassed. Mr Donnelly has claimed that "a number of legal issues were identified which necessitated further consideration" of the plans to introduce safe access zones.
"I have also been engaging with a range of stakeholders and civil society groups in relation to the review of the Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy Act which is being finalised with a view to it starting in the coming weeks," he added.
Ah .. trying to go back to the Good Days, when all Govt parties were the darlings of the media and could do no wrong. Riding on the crest of the wave of legalising killing the unborn. Deflection Zapponyism COVID19
This story and Govt move is purely a timely intervention/ Government deflection for Zapponegate.
