The country had a record 11,021 new COVID-19 infections, according to the DOH on Saturday, leading the number of active cases to soar to 76,063. | NAMercadoINQ

Also on Saturday, the DOH reported the recovery of 9,194 patients as well as the demise of 162 which increased the total recovered cases to 1,544,443 and the death toll to 28,835. The health agency explained that of the current 76,063 active cases, 93 percent have mild symptoms while 3 percent are asymptomatic and that 1.8 percent are severe; 1.19 percent, moderate; and one percent, critical.
