On Wednesday, Reuters reported that White House officials said that nearly 10 million doses would be shipped to Nigeria and South Africa – as they were two of the most populous countries on the continent.
Last month, the Biden-Harris administration announced an allocation plan for 55 million doses to be shared globally. The shipment, en route to South Africa, is the largest sent by the US since it began sending Covid-19 vaccine doses to other countries. The US has sent a total of 16.4 million doses to the African continent.
Haskell stated: “I am very proud that we are able to share these vaccine doses with South Africans and have no doubt that the medicines will help save many lives in this country.
They refused 30 million Sputnik doses at the behest of the USA, now they are grovelling at their feet for a mere 2.8 million. This country is led by first class idiots. 😂😂😂
