The Covid-19 vaccine portal will open for people aged 16 and 17 tomorrow

Image: PA Image: PA COVID-19 VACCINE REGISTRATION will begin tomorrow for people aged 16 and 17, the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has announced.

Those aged between 18-34 can also choose to get the single-shot Janssen vaccine at a participating pharmacy, subject to supply.Registration for those age 16 and 17 for a COVID-19 vaccine appointment will start tomorrow, Tuesday. Niac may recommend that a similar approach is taken in Ireland, or may advise that all children over the age of 12 be offered vaccines.

The number of people in hospital with Covid-19 currently stands at 141, with 25 of the patients in intensive care units. Health officials announced 1,345 new cases of the coronavirus disease today.

Do children getting these vaccines not need their parents consent?

You would swear none of us got MMR vaccines as kids in school judging by some of the melts here.

This is wrong,

Leave them alone. Way to young to be giving an untested emergency vaccine of doubtful long term benefit When very low risk of mortality or chronic illness Should not be given to the healthy under 35 at present
