South Australia will mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for high-risk health workers from August 4, with authorities warning they will move staff who refuse.

Authorities are driving an urgent push to vaccinate frontline doctors and nurses in South Australia, with mandatory vaccination requirements for COVID-19 staff due to start on 4 August.Unvaccinated health workers will be moved to low-risk areasThe ABC has learned only four out of five health workers who work in the Central Adelaide Local Health Network have had their first vaccination, with just 75 per cent of frontline COVID-19 health workers fully vaccinated.

The vaccination requirements are included in a direction signed off by Police Commissioner Grant Stevens on July 21, leaving health executives with two weeks to deal with the fallout. "Our clear message is, particularly in that COVID pathway, unless there is a really solid reason for not doing that, please come and get vaccinated."

"Precisely what work are you offering these people, where are you offering it, how permanent will it be, and what clarity can you offer these people?," she said.

Some are resisting it. I’ve had both of mine.

First ? They still didn't get their first shot ?

No jab no job. S0d them all. I have had both( Az) jabs, and I haven't died or had clots Bill gates has not taken control of my brain

Anyone in healthcare not vax by now hasn’t been trying or doesn’t want one. Can’t blame govt for that. My whole family is vaxed because we booked using the app, queued up as a walk in or booked direct with a doctor. We have done all of those with no trouble at all, AZ & Pfizer.

And yet none of them died?

…1 in 5 is okay, it’ll never be perfect.

for the last 10 years carer's in community have been on their own in having 2 look after themselves this pandemic is no different, we have to supply our own masks, but its now mandatory well if its mandatory then organisations or govt should supply ALL PPE's

And this is why they shouldn’t send vaccines to NSW

Fact checked.

You can only blame them, they’ve been eligible all year and have been able to book themselves in since March.

If we cant get the jab into our front line health workers what more evidence do you need tat this rollout has been grossly mismanaged.

What!!
