Allowing under-40s to go and chat to their doctors to potentially get the AstraZeneca jab has led to a raft of comments from politicians and health experts over the last couple of days. Here's a breakdown of who has said what about under-40s getting the vaccine.

To start with, let's go back to the original advice from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation , aka the expert panel on vaccines.

That last part is what's set all of this off. That was also the advice when ATAGI changed the age bracket to 50 years and older in April. He made the announcement while advising that indemnity for GPs, which was announced earlier this year, would now be in place, meaning there was protection for doctors and patients under 60 who wanted to get AstraZeneca.

In 3 years time, people will look back at this and see clearer; if the Govt ignore the health advice, ignore cabinet, don't share their Vax Stats with the states and just order us about - they'll drown in the very patriarchal nightmare they're trying to hide; fuck 'em...

You need daily updates on AZ advice!

My extra point, which I think is important, namely IF ONLY under 40's knew how long to wait till Pfizer is available to them. Fed Govt could seek to address that information gap:

And is anyone still listening

There is a paper out saying it might just be a case of the needle hitting a blood vessel, instead of the muscle.

Isn’t the TGA’s advice important? Why haven’t you mentioned that ?

It’s seem that the ABC are fishing around for people to criticise the Queensland Labor Government , even though the medical gurus agree with the Queensland Government. covid19qld AnnastaciaMP AlboMP COVID19Vic COVID19Vic

I agree with the PM, get advice from your GP. 👍 Most people trust their GP your GP knows your medical conditions, no one else's opinion matters. I don't know why the Qld premier and CHO are saying not to consult with your GP it's irresponsible. 👎

I am sure they said ‘can it’…… better stock on the way - for young AND old…problems solved. Oh, and Fed Govt taking care of specialised Quarantine Facilities….pronto…

People who've already decided not to take AZ are against you having the same choice. It's that simple.

And still not approved for use in the USA

well no need to read what our prime minister said, the leader of our country because we all know he said nothing. Instead, he is choosing to hide away from the public so he can't say another lie. (for now)
