A woman who was told to spend thousands on a charter flight from Sydney to Melbourne to see her dying father has given been given a generous donation.

Anna Coffey’s 80 year old father suffered a serious stroke and she rushed from New York to Australia on the first available flight to Sydney but had issues getting to Melbourne.

Angel Flight CEO Majorie Pagani reached out to Sky News to offer assistance to Ms Coffey, who was told by New South Wales Health her best bet was to charter a flight to get to Melbourne. Angel Flight has offered to fly Ms Coffey to Melbourne for free and Ms Coffey could be landing in Melbourne as early as today if she receives a negative COVID-19 test.
