JOHOR BARU: A total of 503,266 individuals in Johor have received their vaccine doses since the Covid-19 vaccination programme kicked off on March 1, says state health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan.

He added that until Friday , some 354,039 individuals have received their first Covid-19 vaccine doses, while 149,227 have completed their second dose.

“There are several vaccine dispensing centres currently operating in Johor, including 20 public PPV, two health clinics PPV, six special PPV, one mega PPV, 54 general practitioners PPV, 11 private hospitals PPV. “Mobile PPVs are being carried out at districts to give immunisation at senior citizen institutions and outreach programmes at rural areas,” he said in a statement here on Saturday .

Vidyananthan added that as of Friday, some 6,852 individuals have received the jabs through mobile PPV, while PPV industry Pengerang has seen some 1,407 individuals get their first jabs since starting operation on Wednesday . He also said that there were several vaccination programmes carried out by various agencies within several locations in the state.
