PUTRAJAYA: Another 60 people in Malaysia have succumbed to Covid-19, the Health Ministry reported on Thursday (June 17).

In his daily Covid-19 press statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country’s Covid-19 death toll has now reached 4,202.Other states with new Covid-19 fatalities are Negri Sembilan , Johor , Sabah , Labuan , Kuala Lumpur , Sarawak , Melaka , Kedah , Kelantan , Perak , Terengganu and Penang .The youngest fatality is a 29-year-old man with obesity who died at Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar in Seremban.

In the same 24-hour span, 7,530 more patients were discharged from treatment, bringing total recoveries up to 608,465.Article type: metered
