The Morrison government should have looked ahead and prepared for the problems which would arise from COVID-19 vaccines, says Labor MP Patrick Gorman.

The criticism comes after the announcement the AstraZeneca vaccine is now being recommended only for people over 60. “The health officials would have given … advice that these are new vaccines, there are going to be challenges. They should’ve looked ahead,” Mr Gorman said.

He said the prime minister should have secured a larger supply of other vaccines and because of this, there will be additional pressure later in the year to reach vaccination targets. “The problem we’ve got is that we just don’t have enough supply of other vaccines here in Australia. “He told us earlier that we were going to have to race … he’s now saying … that we’re going to have to sprint at the end of the year.

Hindsight my friend is no help here.Labor would have done the same if Mcgovan/Andrews/Anastasia actions are anything to go by.Dont be pompous please.

Everyone the expert after the event.

Let's face it. It's a shambles. Scotty should be stacked....again....

It gambled “everything” on Astra Zeneca … Yet ordered 125 Million doses from other pharmaceutical companies spending $2B - just for the hell of it 🤔

Yes the government put their eggs all in the 1 basket... Scrap the AstraZeneca... no one wants it! I don't think the dogs would even take it... We are all deserving of the same quality... Thank God I'm not 60 & over..🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ auspol

20/20 hindsight.
