Paul Reid, CEO of the HSE, said in a post on Twitter: 'We're gaining momentum in rebuilding many of our healthcare systems.'

The Health Service Executive is "gaining momentum" in rebuilding its healthcare systems following the cyber attack on 14 May.

The HSE earlier said it is taking "very seriously" any potential publication of patient data after confirming that information related to 522 patients had been published on the dark web by the group that launched the cyber attack on its IT systems two weeks ago. Meanwhile the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccination programme continues apace with up to 300,000 vaccinations expected to be administered next week.

Maybe they need to do a lot more than fix it, I've spent six years on a two year waiting list cause people lost the list, I go through hell everyday but the fact is there's people who have probably died from the incompetence

Some of which is on 15 year old computers.

Who will be held accountable for not maintaining good enough cyber and information security standards? The Board? The senior management?
