PETALING JAYA: A total of 62 victims of the recent LRT train crash have been discharged after receiving medical treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), says Prasarana CEO Datin Norlia Noah.

"Out of the five, three individuals have been placed in the normal ward and are expected to be discharged in the next two to seven days.

As of 8am on Saturday , Norlia said 130 out of 213 passengers have been identified, including 12 foreigners from Indonesia, the Philippines, Iran, Bangladesh, and the Middle East.Out of the 130, there are 19 passengers whose personal details were not completed, she said, adding that there are 83 passengers who still cannot be traced by Prasarana.

Norlia also apologised for the manner the incident was managed by Prasarana, adding that the latest developments on victims who are still receiving treatment at HKL will be publicly announced. "Prasarana would also like to thank personnel from the Fire and Safety Department, police, medical officers from HKL and the Civil Defence Force for acting fast in organising the rescue operation," said Norlia.
