Single mum Natalie Raffenot says the government's pledges will not help families like hers
It is subsidised, with a rebate of 80% for those on the lowest incomes. But the fees remain so high that many families are better off having one parent stay home to look after the children, rather than work. It announced a A$1.7bn funding boost over three years to help families afford care and get more women back to work.

Suffer_Till_End Governments should not fund childcare. If people want someone to look after their children they should pay for it themselves. Taxpayers should not be funding people's careers. Put money into hospitals instead.
