SA Health is 'not sure' how many medication overdoses were administered, nor how long the problem went unnoticed, after it was revealed that a computer system glitch had led to unnecessarily high amounts of medication being given to patients.

South Australia's health chief has said it remains unclear how many hospital patients received incorrect dosages of medication as a result of a computer system error, and has blamed the bungle on a Windows upgrade.SA Health believes the problem was caused by a Microsoft upgrade

"We're doing a full review of course, and I'm not aware of any negative outcomes for any patients but that will be examined over the coming days and that will be made public." "The continuing roll-out of Sunrise has been incredibly successful but from time to time … there are faults."

Soo... they used an app to calculate dosages, and it has a math error. So instead of blaming whoever made the app, they're blaming Windows update? HAH. I smell nepotism or conflict of interest.

Here's another example of a Dep't boss (Soc Services this time), Kathryn Campbell, praising use of (dangerously) unproven technology which will make disabled people's lives a misery. She actually said (about the new integrated app):'One to rule the world'

In my experience, if any IT person tried to put proper safety checks into the IT systems s/he would be moved/declared redundant. No point wasting money on safety.

trust... lol

When are we going to stop using microsoft garbage! so many cheaper safer alternatives.

It’s time to upgrade macOSBigSur

*blinks* I'm sorry, what

Remember, under Scomo, parliament is not a place for women jamesmassola Well, domestic violence is all about women, isn't it? Lets not bother ourselves with the reality that WIFE BASHING is actually Australia's national pastime (delete 'sport') for both black + white... but oops, women's rights aren't included under indigenous affairs, so forget that jamesmassola Costello’s TheAge, its LNP lickspittle editor & typing pool of bootlickers are already campaigning for the LNP.
