PUTRAJAYA: There have been no cases of deaths caused by Covid-19 vaccines among health workers, the Health Ministry (MOH) has clarified.

said the ministry is aware of social media posts claiming that there are deaths of MOH staff that are linked to Covid-19 vaccines.

“The MOH is investigating these allegations and we will inform the public of the results once the investigations are completed," he said. Dr Noor Hisham said the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme began on Feb 24, with phase one involving healthcare workers, those in essential services and defence forces and then launched into its second phase on Monday .

“As of now, there have been no reports of deaths caused by Covid-19 vaccines, ” said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement on Wednesday .“Sharing such posts will cause public confusion. Refer to the ministry’s official social media pages, or contact the Crisis and Preparedness Response Centre for verified information, ” he said.Of that total, 748,444 are first doses, while 462,335 people have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
