Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said she was a bit disappointed because their plans to provide businesses with tax perks and incentives are being affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The mayor said she has allowed the opening of some hotels in the city to serve as quarantine facilities in order to help their employees. “Kaya hinayaan ko mag-open ang mga hotel at magamit na quarantine facilities para matulungan ang mga empleyado at negosyo kaysa naman nakasara totally,” , the mayor said.

Despite the low tax collection of the city government, Rubiano said the city government has standby funds to help the residents who were affected by the granular lockdowns.
