Oji disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Abuja.

He also assured that the arrival of almost four million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in Nigeria will guarantee national immunity. “According to the National Primary Health Care Agency , over two million persons have registered for the vaccines; therefore, people are willing to get immunity against the virus.

“If the health workers who are the frontliners in the fight against COVID-19 get immunised, certainly, infections and deaths will reduce,” he said. The medical practitioner expressed hope that the spread of COVID-19 would reduce with the arrival of the vaccines.The COVAX programme shipped close to four million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines manufactured by the Serum Institute of India, from Mumbai to Nigeria
