Research published in the British Medical Journal last year found that 1.6 million Singaporeans – 26% of the population – had taken part in the government-backed scheme. In return for undertaking certain numbers of steps participants earned “health points” which they could exchange for rewards worth up to US$10.
Reducing tax on healthy food achieves similar results. Or just add a tax on sugar, like Norway. That puts pressure on processed food businesses to change their recipes to keep them competitive. Still, incentives for starting a more active life helps get the ball rolling. 😄👍
Talk to us! We already help councils reward people for becoming healthier – with more than just financial incentives and for a LOT less money. denis_campbell
pretty sure be lot more healthier if the pricks like BorisJohnson & RishiSunak would allow one to fill one fridge up ? starvation just effect health and cost upon the NHS at some point in future ?
Oh, what contract have Serco won now...
Having good health & safety in workplace is a bonus. Prioritizing stressed & desperate people into the workplace, over a person who isn't, seems to be a hard country to admire. I'm at the back of several queues; job, owning home, health. I need patience with this concept 😆 🤣
Good news for DavidLammy . Here is some more public money he claim for.
Or: Government suddenly realises that blanket lockdowns - which deny access to exercise, encourage lots of sitting around, consumption of alcohol and easy access to junk food - have caused massive lasting damage. Shocker there.
We should not have to pay people to look after themselves and not gorge on crap food. Wrong on every level.
Link Couchto5K to my PayPal and I might finish week 3 for a change
Hahahaha because the rewards of longer healthier lives isn't enough for people. Gotta get that green for going on a jog or not shoveling McDonalds in your gullet every Friday night after 6 pints down the pub...
Or just make healthier food cheaper
thanks
Wow, okay, but how about providing funding so people can actually eat? The need for food banks in such a wealthy country is a disgrace.
Starting a diet to put on weight 🤔
